There’s a depth chart of sorts when it comes to athletic apparel. A basic outline of something every player should follow at every single level of the game in order to be at their best.

  1. Safety and support
  2. Comfort
  3. Fashion

It’s a pretty basic thing to follow. Ideally you land with equipment that both maximizes comfort and safety. Unless you’re Cowboys rookie running back Jaydon Blue, who accidentally covered his feet in blisters because of a fashion move.

Blue is being counted on this week to be part of the running back rotation this week after both Miles Sanders and KaVonte Turpin were sidelined with injuries. Inactive for much for the season, and rumored work ethic issues have hampered the rookie — and now he showed up in cleats that were damaging his feet, but he chose to keep wearing them because they were a fashion statement.

At least he looked good while destroying his feet.

Oh, rookies.
