Chuba Akpom came off the bench to score twice as Ajax continued their resurgence with a 4-1 home win against Heerenveen in the Dutch Eredivisie on Sunday.
Akpom, a former Arsenal and Middlesbrough striker, has now scored in back-to-back games for Ajax.
The 28-year-old scored his first goal for Ajax on Thursday, in a 2-0 league win against Volendam.
He has taken his tally to three in seven appearances in the league.

It is two wins in two games for the Eredivisie giants, who had gone 10 games without a win prior to the game against Volendam.
With Ajax 2-1 ahead, Akpom came on in the 73rd minute and got his side’s third goal in the 84th minute.
In the 92nd minute, Akpom then got his second goal and Ajax’s fourth.
The win saw Ajax move up to 11th on 11 points in the 18-team league standings.
Akpom won the the golden boot award in the 2022/23 Sky Bet Championship season.
He ended the season on 28 goals, two assist from 38 league appearances.
He scored 20 goals at home and eight away from home, hitting 50 shots on target and 78 shots in total in the season.
Also, Akpom was voted Championship Player of the Season and also claimed Middlesbrough’s Player of the Year as voted for by fans and Players’ Player of the Year.
