They will now play either Korea Republic or Ecuador for a place in the semi-final of the tournament.
Reacting to the team’s victory, Lawal in a chat with Completesports.com, stated that the Flying Eagles have placed themselves in a position where other teams will be afraid of facing them.
“This is a definitely a massive win for the Flying Eagles considering the faCt that many people never gave the team a chance to upset Argentina,
“I personally love the way they approached the game and hit them when it matters most. Kudos to Ladan Bosso and his players for their achievement.
“Now other teams will be scared of facing the Flying Eagles in the quarter finals and that is exactly what I want from the team.”
They will now play either Korea Republic or Ecuador for a place in the semi-final of the tournament.
