Coach of NPFL side Heartland FC Fidelis Ilechukwu has stated that the instability in the league calendar in Nigeria by the League Management Company of Nigeria is promoting a lack of structure and unprofessionalism in the running and handling of clubs in Nigeria after the release of another date for the resumption of the second round of the 2020/21 NPFL season.

Ilechukwu speaking in a chat with brila.net stressed that the newly released date of 9th May 2022 certainly would affect and disrupts the program of any well-structured club while it hands an advantage to clubs without structure who have now been given extra time to possibly tidy themselves up to where they probably could have been caught napping.

“For teams that have the good structure they will feel it because they will prepare the players both timing and giving break and everything but when you change it for those that don’t have structure they have an advantage. So it’s now to know where you belong. Are you in a well-structured team or otherwise because with this condition now some teams can still ask players to take more break while they recover.”
