Rangers secured top spot in the Nigeria Premier Football League after rallying to beat Kano Pillars 4-1 at the Awka City Stadium. Muhammad Yakubu gave Kano Pillars the lead in the 11th minute. Rangers levelled from the spot through Godwin Obaje on 24 minutes. Isaac Saviour gave Rangers the lead for the first time six minutes before hour mark with Innocent Saviour slotting the ball home.
